Parsons Elementary School will participate in the Summer Reading Challenge sponsored by Beanstack from June 1 - July 31. We challenge our students to read for at least 400 minutes this summer and keep track of their reading on the unique Beanstack site for Parsons ES.  Hundreds of schools and libraries across the nation will encourage their communities to read a target number of minutes and books.  Beanstack will again be offering cash prizes to top-performing schools and libraries.  We will have a special treat in the Media Center at Parsons in August for the Top Readers!  Happy Reading, Parsons!

GCPL Summer Reading 2025:  May 22-July 31

Register for the 2025 Color Our World Reading Challenge at the Gwinnett County Public Library!  You can pre-register for the challenge starting May 1.  Once your student is registered for Beanstack for libraries at GCPL, you can link the Parsons ES and the GCPL accounts.  Once linked, the minutes your student reads will count for all joined challenges.  Readers of all ages are welcome to participate.  You can even stop by one of the library branches to pick up your very own Summer Reading Challenge welcome pack.  They will have many events and prizes centered around the theme.
