Welcome
Welcome to the School Counseling Department!
The mission of the school counseling program at Parsons Elementary School is to provide equitable access to a safe learning community that meets the individual needs of all students. All students have access to a school counseling program that is developmental in nature, preventative in design, and advocates for the needs of all students, while collaborating with all stakeholders. Through participation in the comprehensive school counseling program focusing on academic, personal/social, and career development, students will be inspired to strive towards academic and behavioral excellence and empowered to become problem-solvers, empathetic listeners, and caring citizens.

Counselor: Grades 1st, 3rd, 5th
I am so excited to be a part of Parsons Elementary School! I received my M. Ed. in School Counseling from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke and my B.S. in Psychology from the University of Georgia. Prior to moving back to Georgia, I worked as an elementary school counselor for 3 years and a middle school counselor for 2 years in North Carolina. I love working with students during individual counseling, small groups, and classroom guidance. It is very important for me to connect with students and their families to ensure students are successful.

I am so thrilled to be a part of the Parsons family! I received my M.Ed. in School Counseling from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and my B.S. in Psychology from Georgia Tech. Prior to joining Parsons, I worked as an elementary school counselor in North Carolina. I believe that all students can be successful by building upon their strengths and I am looking forward to working with and getting to know all of our students!
